Tell me more about Ally!

Ally was founded as Assist the Resistance in the wake of the 2016 elections with a goal of making high-quality, extremely wearable progressive and feminist apparel for the entire family while supporting the national progressive movement.

In January of 2021, with a new Administration and progressive majorities in the House and in the Senate, Assist the Resistance became Ally -- reflecting this new power structure but also our restored hope for our collective futures.

Over that time, we shipped to all 50 states and over 15 countries -- and along the way we donated tens of thousands of dollars to organizations like the ACLU, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the Human Rights Campaign, Color of Change, and many more!

Q. Is Ally affiliated with any other organization?

No. We are a small, independent retailer voluntarily donating proceeds.

Q. Where can I see product reviews?

For product reviews, please see our Etsy page. We are proud to be a 5-star rated shop!

Q. What do I do if I need to return or exchange an item?

We do our best to ensure 100% satisfaction on all orders, which is why we also offer free returns and exchanges. Simply email us at to get the process started!

Q. Why don't you have more plus-size options?

We carry all available sizes of the items listed on our site. Unfortunately, oftentimes manufacturers do not offer plus size options. We are always in the market for new styles, so if you know of a seller of wholesale blank apparel with plus size options, please let us know at! In the meantime, you can see all of our women's plus size offerings HERE and our men's plus size offerings HERE.

Q. Do you manufacture the apparel you sell?

No. We purchase blank apparel directly from manufacturers or their wholesale distributors, but do the printing ourselves.

Q How much of your sales or profits are donated?

In most cases, we donate 10% of sales of certain items to a cause connected to that particular design. We are always transparent about that, including it in each product description where applicable. As mentioned above, we've donated more than $15,000 since our launch in January of 2017!

Q. Are you a Black-owned business?

We are not a Black-owned business, but we've been proud to support Black-led organizations like Color of Change and Fair Fight through our donations.

Q. Are you a woman-owned business?

Ally is co-owned and operated by a husband (Zach) and wife (Emily) team.

Q. Isn't it better for people to donate directly to the causes they support?

It doesn't have to be one or the other! We encourage people to contribute whatever they can afford to help the causes we support or any other cause close to your heart. We have donated over $15,000 to causes we care about through sales of our apparel -- far more than we could ever do on our own!

Q. Aren't you unfairly profiting off of _____?

No! To date, all profits from sales through are either donated or reinvested in the business so that we can sell and donate even more. Also, please take a moment to consider the clothing you're wearing right now. How much did you pay for it? How much was contributed to a cause you care about as a result? If the answer is less than 10% of what you paid, then we ask you to consider whether that's more helpful to the cause than buying from Ally.

Q. Can you assist with a custom apparel order?

Q. Do you offer wholesale discounts?
